FAQ

What is the difference between geriatric OT and physiotherapy for elderly patients?

Geriatric Occupational Therapy

Geriatric OT focuses on restoring independence in daily tasks — eating, toileting, dressing, home safety. Physiotherapy focuses on physical mobility, strength, and pain management. After a stroke, the physiotherapist works on walking ability while the OT trains the patient to button a shirt and cook a meal again.
